Performer
Much of my work as a performer of New Music has been with the Electro-acoustic Ensemble. I have taken part in many compositions written by my colleague John Stead including Play II, Play III and Sangsara. John and I gave a stirring performance of the piece in July 2003 (click here for concert notes)
In addition to performances of my own music and that of my colleagues I have begun to develop a limited but particular repertoire of pieces by contemporary composers. I have given performances of solo piano works by Olivier Messiaen, Joyce Koh, and Karen Tenaka, for example.
Future projects include performances of 'Children's Songs' by Chick Corea, and works by Takemitsu and Debussy. I play Bach most days and have given performances of works to friends. I have a developing interest in film music, and am composing examples and looking for my first collaboration with a Director.
