A commission to celebrate a piece of civil engineering for the R.I.B.A. resulted in an electro-acoustic music piece (Time Piece), and a performance installation ending with a pyrotechnic display. The performance installation choreographed by Karen Rann, accompanied a ceremonial lowering of the Tidal Surge Barrier which is sited at the mouth of the River Hull (off the River Humber in N.E. England).
