Locally based composer, Stan Hansel, has composed a piece especially for the Peterborough United football ground at London Road, Peterborough, as part of his YEAR OF THE ARTIST residency.

The ' first performance ' will take place on Saturday afternoon, 21st.October during the Peterborough v Notts County match. The music is environmental and the prerecorded material will be played unobtrusively during the interval and at the end. The match itself starts at 2.30pm.

Having visited the ground on several occasions and spoken to staff and fans, the composer decided to create a subliminal piece to be played over the public address system. There are a number of features, which make the work specific to the London Road ground.

The music consists of pre-recorded tracks faded in and out in response to weather, and day or night conditions, creating a varied musical environment.

Later in the year the music will be recycled by the composer to create a totally different piece for the Hampton Court shopping centre.
