Britain on occasions following the recent beatification of Blessed Cyprian Michael Iwene Tansi. The three occasions to date took place on the following days: - 22nd, August, 1998 at Mount Saint Bernard Abbey, Coalville, Leicestershire, where Father Tansi spent the last seventeen years of his life as monk. The celebrant was His Eminences, Cardinal Arenzi of Nigeria (who had himself been baptised by Father Tansi in Nigeria before Tansi became a monk). 6th, March, 1999 at Westminster Cathedral, London. The celebrant was His Lordship Rt Rev Patrick O'Donoghue - bishop with responsibilities for minority populations in Britain. 15th, August, 1999 at Grace Dieu Manor, near Whittick, Leicestershire. This venue is not far from Mount Saint Bernard Abbey and has historical connections with the monastery. The celebrant was Father Mark, one of the monks at the abbey who still well remembered Tansi. On each occasion the organist was Stan Hansel who arranged the music with the help of Sister Anne Ariwaodo who acted as native informant and choir mistress.
